MOULD THE RIGHT ATTITUDE AND HABITS AT AN EARLY AGE

It is a well known fact that children have a very high grasping capacity. The younger the child, the more its capacity to learn. Hence, it is very important to mould the right attitude and imbibe good habits in our young ones at an early age. The game Lit’l Chanakya is an innovative tool to do just that, as it focuses on teaching children positive habits and values related to money. In a very simple yet engaging way, children playing the game learn basics like income, expense, asset creation and basic money related decision making. Besides financial aspects, children also learn about positive moral values of life, enhance their ability to work towards achieving a goal, and develop a habit of systematically recording personal money related information.

The age group for Lit’l Chanakya is 8 to 12 years. Each game board allows four children to play at any one time, and the game lasts for about 40 minutes. At the end of the game, though there is only one winner, all the children who have played Lit’l Chanakya will have developed some basic foundations of financial intelligence. But the learning does not end there, as the game is meant to be played repeatedly in order to fully develop a child’s habit of using and saving money wisely.
